Child support is paid by the non-custodial parent, whichever that might be. Traditionally, it is the father...but occasionally it isn't.
I know that whenever a non custodial parent has the child(ren) for a certain number of days in a row, the support abates by 50%, because it is assumed that this parent is supplying housing, food, etc...because the child is there.

Yes. When the father receives custody of the children the woman is then legally bound to pay child support. It's happening more often now.

Yes, it does happen. My ex won custody of our daughter when we divorced when she was 3. I was ordered to pay support to him. I didn't have a problem with paying it, after all, she is my daughter too. What I did have a problem with was being arrested and tossed in jail because I couldn't pay it when I lost my job and had no where to live. He has always earned more money than me but that is not the issue. It takes two to create a child and I know it does always work out between the couple but both still need to support the child in whatever way they can. I paid until she turned 18 and she decided to come live with me.

Absolutely! If the father has custody of the child/children the mother can be ordered to pay child support.

Considering men make more money than women, it's probably not that common, unless the mother is pretty well off and the father managed to win custody.
But you'd be hard pressed to win against a woman who has money when it comes to kids since the courts are so biased like you mentioned.

It does happen but it's very uncommon. You'd be surprised at how many dads are actually willing to take on such a responsibility. I know a man who actually just got through a custody battle over his two sons. The mom's a drunk, endangering her childrens' lives, so they're truly better off with their daddy. She has to pay him child support too! I'm happy, as these boys are good friends with my daughter. They're much better off with their daddy.

You know, this is something of a curious. If a divorce is caused solely by a woman, men should be the one recieving child support. If ERA is tuly valid, and because of the changing time and of age. The thing is you never know who is truly at fault. Things gets super complicated when it comes to a divorce. If you're in this situation and thinking about this, you should really considered who is truly at fault to want to divorce your spouse.

Yes, she has to pay if the father gets custody. That's just not the most common outcome.

It happens all the time. What's more, mothers fail to pay just as often as fathers do..
