As a general rule regardless of how long your monthly cycle is ie 28 days or 35 days you usually ovulate around about 14 days before your next period. Having said that some women can ovulate a few days after her period or a couple of days before she bleeds!! The best way to know when to conceive is to keep a diary of your cycle and the changes throughout the month. Around about the time you ovulate ( sorry to gross you out) your discharge will become thin and clear. Other times of the month it is thick and white. You may also get a subtle sharp stabbing pain on either or both your ovaries. Not all women get this but some do. Good luck X
