i respect everyone but i require respect as well

i just can't stand people who don't behave like professionals

like people who talk about you behind your back or whatever

just real bastards

people who don't focus on the work you do but want to dig into your private life which is exactly that: private

Some people suffer from a condition that I call diarhea of the mouth. They get nervous and then their mouth opens and all this stuff comes out. These are usually perfectly nice people otherwise. If you're dealing with that sort then just overlook the unfortunate blabber and try to readjust the topic of conversation. I usually pretend that I don't hear or don't understand rude comments.

Try reading Miss Manners - she has some excellent verbage for dealing with rude people.

I just had the same issue at work. I treated her with kindness, never spoke out of the professional tone. I did warn some key people that they may have issues with her and since I left the company I have gotten over 10 calls in one week about how she did something so unprofessional to my old coworkers. This girl is buring all her bridges in her fist month on the job. People like that get what they deserve. You don't have to do a thing.

The rude still may be valuable if you can get through their rudeness to pick their brains somehow. The dumb (low intelligence (below average)) may be usable for whatever may interest you. Just because a person is perceived by you to be rude or dumb does not necessarily make them useless. You need to worry about persons smarter than yourself as a general rule. Use your imagination , if you have any, to deal with them. This is where ART is more important then Science.

I totally agree with Devin C...hit the nail right on the head people like this has low selfesteem, and the only way for them to feel better is to put other people down, how sad is that, but as long as you believe in yourself, and regard these people as water off a ducks back...they will not have much affect on you, your better, than them.

Some people are rude and dumb because they lack self confidance. They make themselves "appear" smarter by being rude. Think about that in how you handle the situation.

at some point you will have to tell them. These kind of people care nothing about your feelings, and it will just continue to build resentment in you. Are you better off with or without them. your call

Treat them with respect and be polite - but don't stay around them for long. I tend to lose my patience, also...

Rude and stupid usually go hand in hand.
I just ignore them, and if I can't ignore them, I'm just very direct with them because it's really all they understand.
