To me, pro-life isn't just a stand on abortion. It's a stand on virtually every issue.

War? No, I'm pro-life.
Death penalty? No, I'm pro-life.

Don't you think the term goes so much farther than that one single issue?

Yes. Way beyond that one issue.

It's mind boggling when you think about how some of these self proclaimed pro-lifers think it's OK to kill the doctors and/or the other personnel that run the clinics. Or have absolutely no problem with capital punishment or war.

Good question. I always thought it counter-intuitive that the people who called themselves pro-life didn't mind when abortion doctors got killed or clinics bombed. If you're going to limit you scope that much, a more apt phrase would be "pro-fetus".

The world would be a better place if eveyone used your definition of pro-life.

Yeah, you are right. I never understood how certain 'pro lifers" are for the death penalty. Yes the term SHOULD go further than than one single issue, but unfortunately I haven't seen this.

I don't believe anyone ever said Pro-life was for abortion excursively, It just gets used more related to abortion.
