I am a Yankees fan, and I don't want to say any bad comments, but I do believe that they will not be attending the playoffs this year.

BUT...
...

There is hope for them. See, the Red Sox are 9.0 games behind the Yankees. The Jays are 11.0. I don't think that the Jays will be on top of the Yankees by the time the playoffs begin, but if they work very very hard, they can work their way above the Red Sox.

In fact, they are only 2.0 games behind the Red Sox, so in 2 games each, they can acheive that goal, if the Red Sox just lose 2 games, and the Jays just win 2 games. Then, they'll be tied. Once more, and the Red Sox will be 3rd in the AL East.

No offense to the Jays when I say this or anything, but it is kind of an embarrassment for the Red Sox, if they are underneath the Jays, thinking about last year's 95-67 record (Red Sox) and the Jays' 82-80 record.

Good Luck!

It is certinly a possibility for next year...probably the wild card...they do have more money to spend now...they will need to p/u another pitcher bc AJ and Doc just ain't getting it done. Lilly will be gone and you will need a solid 3rd and 4th starter. Chacin is probably going to be a reliever soon. The good news is that you have a younger and a decently fast team (despite Benji's best efforts). Speaking of Benji...it is a must that you re-sign him...he can only help your pitching staff...they have learned to trust him...and any offense he provides is a bonus. Next year will be a better year for the Jays...the American League East will act much like the NL central did last year.

They looked good for a while there over June and July, but no they won't make it. With a few tweaks they will be in real contention shape next year. I'm a Detroiter, and look what time and tweaking has done for the Tigers. Don't give up, buddy my friend.

Why do you ask if you know the answer? They are too far back to win the division, and the wild card will come out of the Central Division. Wait 'til next year is right.
