I comply with a pair volume yet like Chris Rock reported "Im bored with shielding hip hop song". I grew up listening to the artists you suggested above additionally yet there have been lots greater sort to compliment from. MTV used to play song video clips and that they did a ton of help getting those artists to the mainstream. Nas, A tribe referred to as quest, De l. a. Soul, The Roots, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Pharcyde and stuff like that didnt smash by to the mainstream by making use of getting on the radio, they have been coach cased on B.E.T. and MTV video clips. Unfortunetly those networks are actually ninety 5% actuality shows and purely play the common precise ten voted by making use of 14-21 twelve months olds. there's a some distance much less shot for underground lyrical artists to step forward anymore. it continues to be available for artists like a Lupe Fiasco to step forward however the Labels, Radio are patently pushing artists to charm to the greater youthful age communities and creativity does not get an possibility like it used to. So i admire hip hop for an identical motives you do yet i think of what if MTV and guess did no longer coach those artists we adore back then, might I actually are turning out to be to hearken to those artists and If did no longer i does not look after hip hop myself.

Actually I am not black obviously my avatar says so, but I don't call rap---music, whether it's thuggish or not doesn't matter. There's nothing melodic about it, standing there and saying the words, quite honestly any idiot can do that.
Sorry but that's the truth and I stick by it. So there!

Mr. Black Athiest. I am ethnic and I do not like rap music in general because it is just my taste in music....I prefer jazz, soft rock or r & b. Everyone has a right to like what they want to like...don't be so offended by it. I'm sure there are certain types of music that you don't like, as well. So, what's the big deal?
ps... I have deep respect for myself and for my heritage.
