Next time, ask this question at the shop. It's irresponsible of the staff to not go over aftercare of the piercing with you because it can very easily get infected.

I have mine pierced too...they should have given you a solution to put on it but if they didnt, when you are in the shower, take a bar of soap and rub it over the piercing so the soap will run down. Then very gently move the piercing around slightly, to keep it loose and clean. It may hurt a little the first couple days. And dont wear jeans or tight clothes that push on it.

Wash your hands before you touch the piercing, and a couple of times a day clean it with a cotton ball soaked in salt water to promote the healing process.

It may look gross at first, but if you take care of it properly, it should heal in time.
