Well sorry to tell you this but if this is your first child then it could be a while and yet it could be in 2 hrs. I know with my first @ 36 wks I was dialated to 4 85% efface and -1 station and I stayed like that til 38 wks and then they "broke" my water and I had my daughter 3 hrs later BUT they only broke my water cause I had developed preclampsia after being in "early Labor" for so long.
SIGNS OF LABOR:
Contractions that continue to get stronger and closer together no matter what you do.
Water breaking OR leaking
spotting ~ Sometimes that happens
Maybe feeling sickish.
GOODLUCK AND CONGRATS!

Make up your mind.
You've said you're due 9/21 and 9/27. You've said you're 38 weeks and you've said you're due in 1 week. Now you're saying that you're "well overdue." Which one is it?????
A normal pregnancy is anywhere from 38 to 42 weeks. RELAX. All babies do come out. Trust your body and your baby to know when it is time. Labor will be much easier if you don't try to force it. All you're doing is frustrating yourself. RELAX. Get a massage to balance your body. You'll physically feel better and labor will be easier.
DO NOT use castor oil. It will make you miserable and make you run to the bathroom. There is no guarantee it will start labor. You could just spend a miserable day on the toilet for nothing. AND it could make your baby have his first bowel movement in the womb, which can be dangerous if they aspirate it.
As for nipple stimulation, it takes at least 20 minutes for it to do anything. It may or may not work.
Sex would probably be safer and more likely to do something for you. Semen can help to ripen the cervix and orgasm can bring on contractions that might turn into labor.
What does your caregiver say about you trying to induce your own labor? Has he made any suggestions to you? Are you starting to dilate and efface yet?
FROM HER PROFILE PAGE:
If I try to use Castor Oil to induce Labor where can I find it like what type of aisle and/or store?

Women, especially those in their first pregnancies, can remain at 1-3 cm for weeks before delivery. First children are usually 7 to 10 days late.
I know how uncomfortable the last weeks are, but try to remember that learning how to be a mother means learning how to be patient. This is your chance to learn that quality.
Try to trust that your body knows what it is doing and that when labour starts, and I mean really starts, there will be no question. Remember, going to the hospital too early is the easiet way to end up with a c-section (which you do not want - trust me) while a natural birth is better for both mother and baby.
Good luck and have a happy birth.
