I am planning to build a forum . At the moment I am planning to buy a www.com address ...How shud I go about building the forum ? Like I guess you can download softwares like PHPbb , but then what do I do with it ? Can anyone advise ? Or If you can direct me to a good faq .... any helps appreciated

Does your host offer software with your site? If they do just add the html code your the forum in the software included.
