Six Flags Great Adventure - If you're a coaster lover there's some really great ones including the world's tallest and fastest, Kingda Ka (it's amazing). There's also a nrand new wooden coaster, El Toro which is the second tallest. And let's not forget the other great ones such as Nitro, The Chiller, Superman and Medusa.
For kid's there's also 3 children's areas including the brand new Bugs Bunny National Park.
For the family there's some good shows such as Temple of the Tiger and Dolphin Discovery.
Also included with the admission price is the Wild Safari. It's a drive through safari with tons of animals to see...my kids LOVE this.
If you're coming from far away I suggest going in the middle of the week because weekend are PACKED. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are dead (especially in the late afternoon and evening) and you'll have way more time to do more activities.

I definitely recommend King's Island outside of Cincinnati if you're looking for a good time. The rides there aren't as extreme as some you would find at Cedar Point, but if you go on a weekday, the lines are very short. The last time I went I spent 45 minutes at the most for only one ride. At cedar point it was no suprise to spend one or two hours waiting for most rides. There are also rides for the kids that I even enjoyed myself. If only the biggest in the best will do, go to Cedar Point. If you want a lot of fun rides, some still extreme but not as big of a variety and not like Cedar Point, and don't want to wait in line for hours go to Kings Island.

Cedar Point in Ohio is one of the best amusement parks to go to. It has a lot of roller coasters plus it is bulidng another one. It has broken tons of records for fastest, tallest, etc. It is really fun for people of all ages. It is best to go over a two day period because you will never get through it in one day. Excellent Park!! for more info you can check out the site...

If you can get to Indiana, there's a super park in the middle of nowhere (Santa Claus, near Evansville) called Holiday World. It's a little corny, but it offers loads of stuff free -- like free inner tubes on the free waterpark side, free drinks all day, and more. It's a little on the small side, though, and if you are looking for a steel rollercoaster, you are out of luck.
