It has lots of fine dust on it from so many meteor impacts, and of course is very dry and has no plants on it, although it has lots of craters (meteors don't burn up over the Moon because it has no atmosphere, and there is very little erosion, so there are lots of craters and they last a long time). It is mostly gray with a slight brown tinge in places, and is generally either quite hot or quite cold, depending on whether you're on the side facing the sun or not. Also, if you were there, you would notice that the sky is black even when the Sun is up and that the stars don't twinkle, also if the Earth is up you'd notice that it's sixteen times as big (four times the diameter) of the Moon as seen from the Earth. And of course, the Moon has only a sixth the gravity of the Earth, so you'd be able to jump six times as far.

Here are some pictures of the surface of the Moon:

to be honest, they aren't all that different. one of my teachers was talking about seeing this diagram where they removed all of the water and greenery and eberything from the Earth and it looks almost identical to the moon. Our earth had deep craters everywhere exactly like the moon. They are almost identical if you make the Earth look like the moon.

Your footprints on the moon's surface will last for centuries for there is no wind on the moon.
