Do they want to start a war on the moon for a change

To discover and learn. And who or what would they start a war with, a lump of moon rock.

First of all, because of the tendancy of mankind to want to learn and discover of our universe. The moon can teach us a lot about how the earth was formed, etc.
Then, because the gravity on the moon is 1/6th of the earth's, which would make it easier for rockets, and other spaceshifts to launch than from the earth.
And then, because we can build houses and buildings on the moon to let some people live there once we know how to allow them to breathe (by creating oxygen from what they find on the moon).

Its the closest object to Earth.....Its illumination draws us in as a curious creature that we are to the magnificence! War in space or on the Moon????I don't think so ...gravity and all would make it difficult and also very expensive to fight up there....they would rather save millions and fight in the comfort of their own lands!Going to Moon for exploration and study would be cool!! Also to have a space station or settlement would be nice to...talk about a view...what would this cost for a condo??

Some people want to go to the moon because they believe they can create a society free from all the baggage we carry around down here. I think that's too idealistic. People have to change. Not where people live.

No idea. I certainly have no interest in going to the moon or into space for that matter. Flying is bad enough.

Men are adventurous and curious by nature.It is a gift to humans. This spirit drives them to do desperate things and going to moon is one of them. They would also like to go to MARS and other planets for the sake of experience.

They want to go to the moon for the same reasons that people climb tall mountains. Because it is there and they want to prove to themselves that they can do it.

They just want 2 C how trash fall out of their moving vehicles. That and all the hot vacation spots are over populated during summer .
