I am pretty sure that swimming is good for you, beach or pool. The only thing I would avoid is a hot tub/spa.

You can swim and do most things. Your half way in your pregnancy. Just don't over do it. Its good for bub to swim. Be careful swimming in the ocean, if the sea swell is high. You don't want to get dumped in the breakers.
The pool is good and you will feel better for it.
I was in our pool right up to the day before my kids were born.
They love the water now.

As for the ocean - I am 'pretty' sure it's fine (check with doctor to be sure).

As for the pool - swim as much as you can! I know I have been & it is great! Good exercise, and it is a great way to alleviate some of the weight & pressure of your belly/breasts/butt/thighs .... You are weightless in the water. I like taking a small raft & resting my head/upper body on it while floating (simulates sleeping on belly) helps with back aches! Have fun & enjoy yourself!

Yes, I went swimming all the time and it's actually great for you and your baby. I would swim laps an hour everyday. It's a highly recommended form of exercise while you are pregnant.

First ask your doctor for proper advise. Swimming is a good form of exercise, but in your present condition, better take good care of the baby by choosing another alternative like, brisk walk.

As long as all membranes are intact you are fine. I went swimming at 80% effaced. My doc said swimming is fine. You can always call the Woman's department of your local hospital if your doc is unavailable. Or call the OB dept. of your local hospital. Better to be safe than sorry!

Some dooctors will say to avoid pools because of contamination or over-cholorination, but all doctors will tell you that the ocean is fine

My wife swam at 23 weeks, she stayed in the pool though, she was leary about how hard the waves would hit her. Ask your doctor first though.

As long as the water's not too cold, what's the harm? Of course, you would not take chances with your own safety, and remember your center of gravity has changed. But if you're reasonably careful, why not?

Well call the doctor and ask!
I went swimming, but briefly.
