I realize that there are some good rap songs and artists. However, the vast majority of rap music encourages gun violence and violence in general. I am a big firearm enthusiast and when some kid listens to rap then thinks it's cool to shoot up other neighborhoods, he ends up getting firearms banned for the law-abiding firearm owners. And rap also glorifies prostitution, and shows women as if they were objects made for men's pleasure. Again i know there are some good (by good I mean not offensive, not good as I would listen to it.) rap songs but the overwhelming majority is very offensive to me and many others for the reasons above.

A lot of people don't like rap becuase it's very fast and they don't understand it. A lot of people don't understand why rap is written. I.E. today we see a lot of people talking about their "hood" and getting shot (50 cent) and discriminate against it becuase it's not good for their children. Also, rap doesn't really follow the beat, it's almost like talking to a background music, but that's what makes it unique. I personally do like rap. Maybe try to do something really different that states a good point. Maybe make a rap out of this question?

Nothing is wrong with rap music. Maybe people put down your music because they are narrow minded. I like all kinds of music...but I am open-minded and I give it a chance.

A lot of rappers message have changed maybe people judge that. I started out with the story tellers of rap like Dana Dane, Slick Rick, The Fresh Prince. Yeah some of the stuff now is redundant...hearing about people's hood rich lives can be mundane and repetitive.

Eminem's verse murdered Biggie's on lifeless incorrect. As prepared on the two Em and Jay, Em owned Renegade. returned and prepared on the two 2Pac and Em, they seem to be a perilous combination on at some point At A Time. His verse became into dope yet 2Pac gets the upperhand in this one.

For me, it is not my style. I'm a Beatles, Temptations etc guy. For kids born in the Rap age it makes their parents go crazy just like each generations music made their parents nuts. Parents just KNOW that their kids music will lead them to sin and such.
