Scheduling my own appointments gives me the chance to go to work a little later which takes some of the stress out of the mundane. With the hold on raises the only perk left for me is time management.

I own the company, so I'm pretty lucky in the "perks" department. I work the hours I want, do business with WHO I want, get to attend the industry meetings and luncheons, and meet great people...two biggest perks -- I make the rules, so there aren't any that I disagree with, and #2 is the biggest.....I LOVE my boss! hahaha (yes, i must mention, that all perks aside.....I also have to pay all the bills, and keep the thing rolling.....impossible to escape the yin/yang.)

First off, my job is as needed anyway so I get to work when I want to and turn down assignments if I don't want them or don't have time. I have to go out in the city to complete each assignment so I'm not stuck in an office with a boss over my shoulder and annoying coworkers. I also get paid before my assignment is actually completed as long as I turn in proof showing that I was there. I can't say exactly what I do because it'll blow my cover, but its fun and a great experience.

I can take vacation whenever I want and as often as I want and as long as I want. I haven't done it in over a year now though because I can't afford to.
