she is currently scooting across the floor on her bum (doesn't seem to get the hang of crawling), she's 8 months now.

she is shaking a rattle on the rug in the back room, in front of the sofa (where i'm sat) and she's asking for "nana", who has just popped to the shop to get some more nappies and baby wipes.

her other hobbies include trying to open cupboards and climb up the stairs.

My baby is just gone 8 months now. He's bum shuffling, trying to stand, has a lot of baby talk and laughs a lot. But his sister when she was 8 months had no interest in moving around. She didn't really go until about 10 or 11 months. She's now 2. No stopping her.

Well... mine is 7 months right now, he flips, hardly crawls. Reach out to anything his hands can touch. Everyday when I come back from work and go to put my stuff in the room, he cries coz I didnt hold him :). Interesting, I didnt think he will be that close to me even though he spends most time with his mother.

He likes to hold Water bottles, and he loved it crazy when I just made him taste the water from the bottle. If I dare to hold him while I am on the PC, he wouldnt hold still and I have to hand over the Logitek keyboard to him for some random smashes. When I gave him the keyboard, randomly he managed to start Google Earth ;) . The next time he held the keyboard, the PC was off and somehow he noticed there is no reaction to his strokes and started screaming... man this boy is gonna be a hell of a geek...

I better get him his own PC soon or else :)

My girl started to walk when she was 8 1/2 months. But she couldn't speak until she was 2.

They're all different. One of mine was talking at 7 months - her first word was "hot". My other baby didn't speak until he was 2. One crawled at 6 months, the other crawled at 8 months, one didn't crawl at all. If you're worried, there are plenty of baby books with milestones in them.

well my son is now 8 1/2 and hes crawling climbing up onto the couch and standing up against it he hasnt got the knack to walk yet but cant wait,he shakes his head from side to side when i say no to him and hes clapping his hands when i ask him to,i think he has developed quicker than my two other children when they were that age i think its because hes learning off them,he also has 4 bottom teeth and 4 top teeth, hes still not eating lumpy food but that will come in time,he sits up on his own he even has little tantrums when i take something off him if hes not aloud it.

my daughter at 8 months was sitting up and attempting to crawl, babbling, putting everything she could find in her mouth (including her own toes, how do they do that), she didint have any teeth at 8 months, hiwever my son didnt do much at 8 months he could sit up but no attempt to crawl at all (lazy boys!!!!!) he had 6 teeth at 8 months and love to bite anything he could get his hands on. enjoy this time as once they are up on their feet, the fun really begins!!!!!
