DUI means under the influence of anything. OWI is while specifically intoxicated by alcohol.

That would depend on what state you are in. For example Iowa went from OMVUI to DUI to OWI and they all had to do with changes in the law and legal definitions of each of them.

OWI means that you are driving while you have alcohol in your system, if given a breathalizer it would should up but it's not necessarily affecting your driving.
DUI means that the alcohol in your system is "influencing" your driving, typically swerving and things like that.

Depends on state you are in. Here in my state it is the level of BAC. DUI is worse than OWI.
