Shakespeare must have been inspired by Fatal Flaws of human character which leads to Human Tragedies. He built upon this theme in the backdrop of power plays governed by lust, love, greed, follies , vanities and complex responses.
His comedies were mostly romantic and they too played upon the weaknesses of human nature.
The greatness of shakespear however lies in
his use of language and his portrayal of charachters.
People remember him less for his themes and more for his characters.
