I love New England. I went to college there and I'm finally moving back. I have now lived in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Denver, CO, and Seattle, WA. I have to say that NE is by far the best. West coasters suck! I can't wait to get back to some realistic and down-to-earth people (ummm...the west coast types are completely crazy).

There isn't much in Connecticut except the casinos. Rhode Island has Newport which is nice. New Hampshire is pretty laid back and has good skiing, Vermont is also laid back and has even better skiing. Maine is the most laid back, and has great historical beaches. Massachusetts has Cape Cod, which is becoming overdeveloped, Boston can be a tough town, with rude people and cutthroat business, lousy drivers, traffic and public transportation. It is really only considered liberal because of all the colleges and universities, and most of the people there aren't even from Boston originally. Mass votes Democrat because of the Kennedy legacy, the high population of union working class, a large mix of immigrants, and the liberal university population. If you ask the average hard working, non-union person, they are actually more conservative.

I think the New England States are fantastic. Immersed in history, with so much to explore. Boston is one of my favorite cities (next to New York City) I think the appeal of it, is that you have all of this old beautiful architecture, yet it is still a part of the present and moving towards the future. Also, the nightlife isn't half bad. Plus, I prefer colder weather, so for me the weather is an absolute ideal.
P.S. GO RED SOX!!! My favorite baseball team.

I have lived there, New England is cold and the people are friendly, they are also Liberals, that keep re-electing Ted Kennedy, a man responsible for the death of Jo Anne Kopeckne, to the Seante.

I very rarely think of the New England states.
When I do, I think of my ancestors who hailed from Barnstable County, Mass.

The place has now changed a lot, the buildings, roads... ...
However, only the people there have not changed.
