Ignore all the retards above me who obviously lack a sense of humour.
I'm a scientist as well. I graduated in physics two years ago now but, like yourself, I had no intention of going on to work for a big bank or consultancy firm. As it happened my degree had put me off going into research completely. And it took me the best part of a year to come to the conclusion that teaching was the way forward for me. And as it seems that you love science for what it is then I would guess you might enjoy becoming a scientist. However with your enthusiasm for the subject and willingness to share your learning (and provided you like kids) I would recommend you go into teaching as well. Obviously at your age that is never a great prospect but keep it in mind after university. I think you and the kids will greatly benefit from an enthusiastic science teacher.
There is a great shortage of mathematicians and scientists so the government have prepared lots of (monetary) incentives for the likes of us.
I distinctly remember being your age and being asked to look into teaching as a career. I'm just annoyed I wasted (at least) one year.
I've just started training to teach secondary maths and I'm loving it already. It is the most fulfilling job I can think of. I rate job satisfaction quite highly (even above salary). No other gives you such pleasure and each day is different. I'm quite happy to talk to you more about it or answer any questions you may have.
In any case, don't worry too much about it because you still have time on your side so you don't have to commit to anything.
Hope this helps.

Which career would I have as I am pretty much confused?
I hope some one is able to help you. I saw one answer.
Every one is confused about the career choices they have to make but you are one step ahead of all.
I am assuming that you do have few careers in mind you just do not know which one to peruse and you are 19yrs old.
In the days of yours (long, long time ago), people just leaned from their elders-a trade or profession. With good college and university all around us, we do have choices.
Not too far back, people stayed in one job for their life.
To-day you are expected to make at least few career changes, by choice or by local or world wide job market demands.
So start with paper and pen, make a list of careers that you have in mind.
Example:
Doctor
Lawyer
Garbage Person.
And so on, it does not matter how long is the list spend say one hour or so today making and checking the list twice then put it away.
After at least 24 hours:
Depending on time you have to sign up for college /school Start eliminating some from the list, you may even add some.
Repeat this every 24 hours.
When there are only say 5 choices left then take 5 pieces of paper(ruled preferred), on the top write down career (say doctor) draw a line in the center.
On one side write what "I like about". On the other side write "I do not care about"
Now fill these two columns on all the 5 pieces of paper.
Now is the time to make choice amongst the five.
I hope you can make the choice based on this information, in the front of you.

The True Messiah was born during the Hebrew fall festival of Sukkat (Succoth, a.k.a. Temporary Dwellings), and he was born in a Hebrew Sukkah (a three sided dwelling). According to the Book of Luke, the Roman TAXATION was then an event that took place during a year on the Anniversary of the historic "Battle of Actium" (See Antiquities of The Jews, chapters 1 and 2 ), which battle took place on September 2, 31 B.C.; This completely rules out the month of December in any year on any calendar (Julian, Gregorian or Hebrew). It is interesting to note that Tishri 1 (Rosh Hashanah or Trumpets) is equivalent to August 30, 1 BC (Julian), and August 28, 1 BC (Gregorian). * Since Taxation, and the "Battle of Actium" both occurred on September 2; and Since ALL Jews left for their Own City (Tribal City) so as to be present for the TAXATION according to The Decree Of Caesar, The Messiah's Birthday would have had to Coincide within the same annual time frame as the Hebrew Holy Days of The "FEAST OF TRUMPETS" (Rosh Hashanah), the "DAY OF ATONEMENT" (Yom Kippur), the "FEAST of BOOTHS (Temporary Dwellings)" (Succoth or Sukkat), and the "LAST GREAT DAY" (Also, Succoth). All of which occur between the last few days of August and early October every year, depending on the interaction between the Hebrew Calendar, and the present day Gregorian Calendar.

If you think the date and time of your birth should be the deciding factor on what career to choose then you are VERY confused.
What would you do is some astrologer told you that you should be a pilot but you were afraid of flying?
Choose something you're interested in and good at.

Your career should be based on what you want to be and not on any other factors.Whatever you decide to do you should be able to enjoy doing it . Then you will be able to give more than 100% of your attention. Concentrate on the fields of your liking. Do not bother about what the birth date and the stars tell.Take counselling from your teachers and seniors.Wish you all the best.
