The number of substantiated USA PATRIOT Act civil liberties violations are zero. Extensive congressional oversight found no violations. Six reports by the Justice Department's independent Inspector General, who is required to solicit and investigate any allegations of abuse, found no violations. Intense public scrutiny has yet to find a single civil liberty abuse. Despite many challenges, no federal court has declared unconstitutional any of the PATRIOT Act provisions.

My question back to you would be:

How has the Patriot Act helped to protect the American People from Acts of Terrorism?

Our intelligence and law enforcement communities, and our partners, both here and abroad, have identified and disrupted over 150 terrorist threats and cells;

Worldwide, nearly two-thirds of al Qaida's known senior leadership has been captured or killed -- including a mastermind of the September 11th attacks;

Worldwide, more than 3,000 operatives have been incapacitated;
Five terrorist cells in Buffalo, Detroit, Seattle, Portland (Oregon), and Northern Virginia have been broken up;

375 individuals have been criminally charged in the United States in terrorism investigations;

Already, 195 individuals have been convicted or have pled guilty in the United States, including shoe-bomber Richard Reid and "American Taliban" John Walker Lindh;

Over 515 individuals linked to the September 11th investigation have been removed from the United States

As for the claims you made "what rights have the Patriot Act stripped from the American people??"

The Patriot Act most likely can usurp any law they want in the name of national security. If they use the term national security, they can be as covert as they want, and tell the public nothing , or account for anything they do, at least for a short time.
