celebrities do it all the time, but no matter how old I am I know my parents wouldn't approve of it, and I wasn't raised that way.

Celebrities have a LOT of money to do with as they please. They can HIRE support and help. If they do not wish to do so, they do not have to even raise their children, they can pay someone to do it for them... and a LOT of them do. Are you wealthy? If not, don't consider having a child without a husband. Today, income directly affects how a child is raised and nourished, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Be especially careful in choosing a husband to help you raise your child. If you do not have the same goals and priorities, you will fight...a lot, not good for you or your child. We humans tend to only look at what is immediately in front of us, and we forget to step back, take in the larger impact of what we do, and forget being so selfish about getting what we want right now. Don't let anyone or anything stampede you into children before you are ready.

When you really want a child and you are really ready for a child, you won't need to ask anyone else.

When you have a child, you suddenly find that you have a very dependent human being on your hands and every decision you make directly impacts that little precious person. I hope when your time comes, you are ready and thrilled with the whole experience and that you have a wonderful support system in place with your husband, your family, and your friends.

To me marriage is just a piece of paper that makes your union "Legal" I am married and was before I planned children but I certainly dont think its the ONLY way to go about it - if you know you want to be with your partner for the rest of your life or at the very least be tied to them forever by having a child together then whats the problem?? Your parents whether they agree with it or not wont have much of a say once your pregnant.

You know I really relate to this ques. A few months back my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and I am 21. I am now scared bc chances are that I might get the disease at a ealier age so I have now thought about getting pregnant before marriage. I want my mother to see her grandkids before the cancer returns, if it does and I want to be able to breast feed my kids b4 I get the disease. At a time I actually thought it was a stupid idea of having kids or planning kids b4 marriage but I have come to understand that everyone has there own reasons for doing so.

Kids need two parents. Please think long and hard before you decide on such a life-altering decision.
