I know he was released a few days back, but I dont know who picked him or if anybody would pick him up. Also, I heard Boston released Javy Lopez, is this true?

Nobody has picked up Young yet - he'll probably sign with somebody during the off-season, but right now it's not worth it for most teams to bother picking him up for only a couple weeks.

Lopez was released by the Sox yesterday; see the link below for the story.

Dmitri Young has not been picked up yet. On September 8, the Red Sox released Lopez due to Jason Varitek returning from the disabled list. It minimized Lopez playin time.

Young was probably release for his clubhouse antics and being selfish.
Lopez was release because Vatriak is back,.
Lopez will get pick up before young will
the only team that will pick up Young will be the police.

Boston did release Lopez, because Varitek is back. No one has Young right now.

I dont think Young will be picked up by any team.

He has too much "baggage" which is the main reason The Tigers let him go. We didnt need his attitude.
