Too right! Back in the day we had classics like rolf harris, glen michael, jonny ball etc. but now with societies paranoia and pedos, kids shows producers decided that fake, stupid hair cut wearing, pretty boys/girls, ott late teenagers would be good role models for children? There shows are just as bad as the presenters. I feel sorry for them. They are probably all coke heads and hate kids and get high before coming on 'stage', hence the smiles. Bring back Jonny Ball!

Have you ever seen the Australian show that's on chanel 5 for kids? It's a bit like Play School and the way the talk is soooooo patronizing. Terrible!

You know who I've always though is ok? Neil Buchanan who presents Art Attack. He just speaks in a matter of fact way and doesn't talk down to the viewers.

Childrens presenters can appear annoying but that's because they're there to entertain CHILDREN! To keep youngsters interested, the presenters have to be constantly up beat & energetic to stop their audience's attention from wavering. You are clearly past the desired age if they irritate you that much! Try a different channel to entertain you.

They have to be to attact the attention of the bratty kids who watch the shows, I bet they all the same as Krusty the Clown though, the second the cameras are swtiched off they reach for a pack of fags and moan about the little chavs

Heh no they probably can't. The reason it's annoying to us is because the tv presenter is making it totally centered around little kids. So when they hop and dance and sing in that high pitched cute tone of his it sets off our teenager-ish "ugh" side.

Because these particular shows cater to the young audiences that will be attracted to their ever smiling faces. When we gain maturity, we realize just how it insults the intellgence of our younger generation.

I never allowed my children to watch such dribble.
