It just starting happening last night when I was trying to fall asleep . I had about 7 or 8 spasms that felt like they were coming from up inside my vagina but then they went away and I haven't had any since. Anyone else experience anything like this?

The body tends to deliver some mighty weird aches and pains when pregnant. For me, it always starts with an achiness in my lower pelvis that feels like a bladder infection. With each I've had weird cramps, and the last one made me so sore between my legs I couldn't sit or walk sometimes.

Contractions don't hit down there, they start above the uterus and move down. Sometimes you feel them worst in your back, but the vagina doesn't contract during childbirth so I seriously doubt they are any reason for concern. When in doubt, ask your doctor, they are used to women asking lots of questions.

Make sure you're taking your prenatal vitamins as shortages of calcium, potassium or magnesium can cause cramps. Eating a banana a day will help stave off some of them.

I've always said that God makes getting pregnant fun, to insure the continuation of the species, but pregancy sucks so we don't do it too often."

Good luck to you and your baby.

Aren't vaginal spasms what got you in trouble in the first place?

i had that during my pregnancy, sometimes its just the baby moving around and touching a nerve that may be there. next time you see you doctor tell them about it sometimes people can have early contractions i'm not trying to make you worried but i'm just letting you know the best thing you can do is consult your doctor just to be safe.

I am almost 15 weeks and I get them as well. The doctor told me that it is NORMAL because it is your body getting ready! Your body has to stretch while the baby is growing! CONGRATS BEST WISHES!
