Well it would be in the same pretense of should I hang out with a guy because he is a man. According to the rules of society guys that hang out with women only want one thing they just dont reveal that this is their intent. A woman is generally more honest about it especially a woman who is intimate with women. If your concern is that she may find you attractive, and it will wierden the friendship then talk with her before you decide to put distance. If it's because your concerned about what others think, then I would say your not as good of friends with her as she or yourself would like to be. Pressure can be hard. But the real character of a man or a woman is the ability to be who you are even when there are those who would challenge that. If you care for her dont let something so trivial as her sexuality detain you from a mutally respectful friendship. She may not just be a quote unquote Lesbian. but someone who is questioning her own sexual idenity. As a friend, unless she is being self destructive you should support her at every phase of her life.

Unless your a closed minded %@#$. Then yes you should. Just cause she's gay doesn't change all the things that you liked about her before you knew. And if your worried she's going to fall for you...I wouldn't worry. Most gay women know to draw the line with their straight friends.
Don't be so freakn judgmental and be the girls friend. She probably needs one right now!

Its really sad that you would even ask this question. If I was your friend I wouldnt hang out with you. Friends accept you for who you are and the fact that you asked this question just shows that you are not a true friend. Hopefully your friend will find somebody who is

I guess you started liking her as a person to become friendly that does not change much with her being a gay.Make sure that she understands that you are not gay. Gays and lesbians are not UNTOUCHABLE CASTE. Some of the brightest people from many fields are gays.Like literature, sports, entertainment, medical sciences.

Um yes. I don't get it, why are girls afraid of bisexual girls or lesbians, they will not hit on you, as long as you are not gay, treat her with respect, it's not fair that you don't want to hang out with her because of that, it's rude, and bratty. Hang out with her! She's human like you and has feelings.

Look at it this way, Would you want her asking if she should be hanging out with you because you're straight? Of course not! You're friends because you enjoy each others company, not because of who you are attracted to. Good luck!!

Yes, you should always support your friends no matter what her sexual preference is. I have a whole bunch of gay friends and I'm still straight. :)

Of course. That shouldn't be a question if she is a good friend. If you cared about her when she was straight, then it shouldn't change things now, as long as she's not hitting on you.
