In administering my aunt's trust,My sister based her compensation on actual hours x her usual rate of pay,Is this acceptable?Who actually decides how much a trustee can receive if the courts are not involved?Any info would be very helpful.

My sister based her compensation on a rate of $26.00 per hour,I earn about $60.00 an hour and am trying to be fair with my mother's trust,as to how much I should receive.Thank you.

Payment for services rendered? Like cleaning house or something of that effect? Her wage sounds fair.
If you're trying to divide it up between people, use the total amount of $ Auntie left, then divide by # of people and you'll have an answer.
The Executor of the estate would do that.
