Most definintely!
If you're an American you might clearly see the difference between American humor and British humor.
It's the result of the combined influence of language, social and economic class, tradition and history of each people. There are even differences among people of the same nation, but living in different regions or cities.
Sense of humor even differs from individual to individual so it's only natural that different countries find humor in different things.

I've heard of a recent (American) comedy that tried to illustrate this issue: Looking For Comedy in the Muslim World
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0433116/
You might want to watch it. I haven't seen it but I from what I know of it, I find it strange that the movie maintains that India is the center of the muslim world, when it is almost 90% Hindu

Yes, because people in different cultures are taught that different things are funny in different ways... Even in the same country, there are differences... For example, some people like the 3 Stooges, and others can't stand them...

Yes. I live in China but I am a white American and the humor is vastly different, so telling a joke here is very tricky to make it funny. A joke requires some background knowledge of the subject and some 'in' knowledge of the situation. As you know the brunt of many American jokes is on Polish people as being slow-witted and so the Polish lesbian who like men makes no sense here. But Chinese jokes go over my head too. Obviously religious jokes are not easy to handle as many Christian things are incomprehensible but one that I was able to get across was about the Buddhist Monk driving a car who ran over the Catholic Priest's dog and knocked on the door and apologized by saying that his Karma had run over the priest's dogma....see unless you understand karma, you are lost too. But a joke that many of my friends liked and often repeat was about the American businessman that went to Japan. After he finished his work, he went shopping. The shopkeeper spoke little English but he tried very hard to help the customer. After he made his choice, and was paying the Japanese guy, the shopkeeper said 'Thank You' and the American responded by saying "Thank You too". Now the Japanese are very polite and the shopkeeper wanted to be more polite and responded "Thank you three". I watch David Letterman on TV and things that make people laugh fly over me as I am really out of touch with things American...but it keeps us thinking how to make others laugh and not fight.

Yes. Different cultures have different experiences and different points of view. People from different cities and states have different senses of humor. So of course people form different countries are going to have different senses of humor.

Sure they do. People in different countries have cultures that have different connotations, meanings, etc. What's funny here, for instance might not make sense there and vice versa.

definately!!....im from egypt but living in ireland. In egypt the humour is so simple that even a child would understand but so funny that u'll be on the ground laughing. Humour in ireland, most western european & america is crude and not fit for children and very often it is sexual!
