You cannot download a song directly from windows media player to an iPod. You have to make use of iTunes for downloading songs to your iPod, theres no other way. infact there are some other softwares available to download songs into iPod but your guarantee will void in that case.

iPod Access for Windows 2.9.2
iPod Access for Windows brings to Windows users what Mac users have been have been raving about: the abilty to freely transfer you files from you ipod back to your computer.
Unlike other iPod applications on the market today iPod Access uses the iPods internal database to show song information.
By using the database, song listings can be displayed instantly, playlist data can be viewed, and songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store can be displayed properly.
Most other applications must fetch song data from each song individually or force the user to sort through multiple folders without the use of ID3 tags, making them extremely slow and incompatible with file formats other than regular MP3s.

Locate the actual music files, and drag, or copy them into Itunes. From itunes, I think you may need to make a CD and then import them into wmp, because the songs you download from itunes aren't in the proper format.

you do no longer obtain something from living house windows media participant onto any ipod! iTunes is the only application you could sync/obtain on your ipod with.... you could besides the fact that import songs from living house windows media participant into itunes, then as quickly because it is achieved, then you certainly can get the onto your ipod when you get them into itunes.....yet you should make specific that they are an ipod friendly document sort, if no longer convert them to that, in any different case this is a no pass.
