archie: thank you for your answer, but it is not like it takes me an effort to grow a beard, the effort is shaving, every day, day after day. I feel I am meant to have a beard, otherwise what is hair growing on my face for?

ROFL... I won't let my husband shave his. He has had either a full beard or goatie since I met him(16 years ago)
I guess it is just a matter of preference. Maybe she thinks it will be itchy or poke her when you kiss.
Talk to her and see what her issues are with your having one. Then maybe you can come to a compromise to try it for a bit. Maybe start with a goatie or just a mustache, first. Just keep it neat and trimmed.. not long and overgrown... that is just nasty.
Good Luck!

Why NOT grow a beard? But shaving is the norm and letting the beard grow is the exception. So, it may require a bit of courage to take the decision to grow a beard. Once that decision is taken, it is easily reversed upon second thought. And another would-be beard disappears. When you see someone who has a full-grown beard, you know he made the decision to be bearded and he had the determination to stick with it.
Whether or not you should grow a beard depends in large part on genetics. Beard growth is genetically determined and there is not much anyone can do other than to accept what they've been given. If you have developed enough facial hair to allow you to grow a beard, then you owe it to yourself to grow it out at least once during your lifetime -- even if only as an experiment. You may be so pleased with the results, even unexpectedly so, that you decide to keep the beard permanently.
Most importantly, the decision to grow, and subsequently keep, your beard is yours

It depends on an individual whether he likes a beard on his
face or not. Usually in the Arab world, almost all male muslims
grow beards on their faces which show a sign of maturity.
Since you asked whether married men should grow beards,
I think personally they should, because not only they look more
handsome, but also more mature looking, provided they keep
the beards neat, tidy and well-trimmed.

Hey, she's stuck with you, just like my wife is stuck with me...Grow the beard!
Here are some other things you should do:
Let yourself go. What she going to do if you gut gets shockingly huge? Nothing!
Drink lots of beer before noon. Makes life more fun.
Watch Will Ferrel movies, even the bad ones.
Subscribe to at least two nude magazines.
Spend w-a-y too much time on Yahoo Answers. This annoys them the most! (personal experience)
All the best.

What do beards have to do with marriage?
What do beards have to do with your wife?
If your wife won't let you grow a beard just ask her to start shaving you every morning. I think she'll change her mind pretty quick.

identity prefer to entice close Islam's ruling in this.. pleasing confident.. additionally lower back 100years or extra in the past while they didnt have state-of-the-paintings drugs to test for hormone degree and so on.. What did they do.. I evaluate "unluckily".. they have been concept of as freaks and a few families basically concealed away their childrens that were distinctive or deformed in some procedures.. Thats how society dealt with them.. reason they didnt want them to circulate approximately socializing with a gender that could confuse them.. I mean in the event that they regarded extra like a guy in spite of the fact that they felt like a women and went after adult men, they had be concept of as gay. Or visa versa and back then issues have been far extra complicated in society to do such.. So i think of till their kin was once actual open and efficient sufficient for societies stares and mock, they might have concealed the teenager away in the abode and by no skill enable them to absolutely socialize exterior.. we've got all seen circumstances of this on television.. i'm least complicated assuming..
