Actually I was wondering if some of these food companies that claim 'half the fat' could be working something like this, and it was nothing of the sort.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ha ha ha ha - I love the thinking behind that.... but, it would still be 100% no matter how many it was cut in to...

Both. Each piece would be half the fat of the unit as a whole, but it would still be 100% fat.

it would still be a 100% fat but for the half that your eating

you would be having lees fat if you had the half rather than the whole but it would still be a 100%

The problem with some of these food companies is the way they measure the fat content. ... some measure percentage in calories, some by weight and some by volume.

A gram of fat equals 9 calories. A pound of fat is the equivalent of 3500 calories.

A gram of protein equals 4 calories.
A gram of Carbohydrate equals 4 calories.
A gram of sugar alcohol equals 7 calories.

Well of course it would still be 100% fat. You cut it into a million pieces and each piece would still be 100% fat.

I'm not sure you understand how percentages work.
