COZ HE SCORES BIG IN LESS BALLS..

Because he brought a new style in Indian batting line-up. He can bat at any number, if required. Indian team had never had such orthodox hitter, who can hit such huge sixes and also the one who can slog in the last few overs. I mean: India had Kapil Dev before as one who can also slog in the last overs (as I heard from my elders). But even he was not as dangerous as much as Dhoni. Virender Sewag has difference style of batting all together. I think Sehwag can only be dangerous when fielding-restriction is on. But Dhoni can play such lusty-blows at anytime, if needed. And of course: His hair-style did also help to become more famous.

Hope you uderstood.

Thanks!

Indian have a tendency of idol worship. Oncwe somebody perform well in one or two matches, he is being praised lavishly and taken to new heights. The same people start critisising the same player when he fails subsequently.

see honey things required to be recognised in any field or thing are (1) Commitment and a level of competency towards the main stream.
(2) A pleasing personality.
(3) A bit of youthness in your style.
(4) A good controversey.
(5) And love of sports in a country like India.

I feel if any one had them would have recieved the same amount of popularity and publicity.
