It can be normal. Is this your first period altogether? If not, how were your other periods? If it is your first one, it can be just as you said. Also, stress can alter your period. If you have any concerns, you should contact your doctor/OBGYN.

I'm sure it's completely normal. There's so much variation among people. My periods were always 6 weeks apart until I had kids, now they're 4 weeks apart.
The only times you really need to worry are if the bleeding is too heavy, doesn't stop, or if you stop having periods for months at a time.
Congratulations and hang in there.

My periods are always abnormal and not consistant but from memory for the first year or so this can be perfectly normal - My mum took me to the Dr about mine as I had terrible pain with it and it was all explained to us then about how it can be short to start with, skip a couple of months then be more normal then skip a month etc dont worry its all perfectly normal :)
Just be glad you dont have to wear the surf boards (pads) I used to have to wear when I got mine about 18 years ago - no such things as slim with wings then LOL

Yes. When you get your period for the first time it can last only a day, then you maybe wont get it again in a couple of months and than it will start again.

Is it you very first time? then its normal to. wear a pantyliner in case it starts up again then change to a tampon or pad. periods can be like that the first year or two because your body is experiencing something new and is getting used to it.

It could be normal. I'm turning sixteen and I still don't have my period. A friend of mine had her menarche last year and until now she hadn't gotten her next period yet.

Yes, it will take time to regulate But, in time it will... You need to take vitamins to help with your iron levels and all too! Make sure you mark it on your calender so you can tell your family Doctor..It should stay close in range to this date...Might change some..28 day cycle..
