1970 vehicles don't have "titles" issued to them as new cars do, look on your registration card for the VIN (vehicle identification number) or you can actually get the VIN from the driver's door jam or under the hood near the drivers side windshield. look up the VIN in the above mentioned manuels or on line. if the motor is "straight" and all 6 spark plugs are on one side, its a straight 6 cylinder engine, if it is a
V-8 it is probably a 350 cubic inch engine but could be a 307 or a big block 396 or even 454

1) If it has a motor that you are not certain is the original then find the serial number on the engine block and check with a "MOTOR'S Truck Manuel or Childens Truck Manual" from you local library.
2) if the motor is the original then the catalist sticker will tell you , or the "VIN" number will have a code for it, again see a "MOTOR's Manual or Childens Manual"

If there's no motor in it now, call your local junk yard or auto parts store and tell them the make/model and they should be able to tell you what size motor you need.

look up the VIN number (Vehicle Identification Number) - as long as its the original engine, you can find out exactly what engine you have. If you don't know where to find your vin number, it should be on the title and insurance papers.

You can look it up for free at:
