Ur kidding right? It's G'day- short for Good day. And unfortunately the guy who used that expression the most out of anyone here died a couple of days ago so don't hold ur breath to hear it again.

g'day. There has been a book written called "Strine" by Afferbeck Lorder (not sure of first name spelling.) Strine is short for Australian and Afferbeck Lorder is Alpabetical Order. When I was married my husband used a lot of Strine and rhyming slang. I did not know it and had to buy a book. It drove me nuts. I needed an interpreter. He would say things like: "I am going down the frog and toad to the rubbity to get some bangers and mash." "I am going down the road to the pub for some sausages and mashed potato." Eggnitioner = Air conditioner. There are a lot more of these priceless gems in the "Strine" book.
