You probably should consult a doctor before trying to loose that much weight. He may want to test you for thyroid disorders and other things, that is if you are actually 70 pounds overweight. Google body mass index to see if you actually are. As for losing weight diet and exercise are the two best things to loose weight and keep it off. You should consume fewer calories than you burn. So most likely you should eat around 1500-1700 calories per day (boxed meals work great because it is all labled on the box) don't forget that drinks with sugar contain extra calories so cut out sodas and sweet tea/coffee. I like drinking a slim fast for breakfast but won't do the recommended two meals a day because starvation diets backfire and you usually end up with extra weight when all is said and done. You should also throw in a couple of small healthy snack such as a rice cake or apple so that when dinner comes you're not starving and end up over doing it. Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers would probably help you a lot. They would give you plenty of support especially if you have a friend or family member you can do this with. Make sure you exercise at least 20 min/day 5 days/week. It doesn't have to be too intense just get your heart rate up and you'll burn calories. Go for a fastpaced walk, walk up and down stairs, or buy an aerobic work out video. Gyms are great too since you can have an instructor to coach you along. Again this works best if you have someone there with you.
Remember the way to loose weight the healthiest and the most likely way to keep it off is to only loose 1-2 pounds per week. Stick with it and in time for Christmas you will be almost half way there!

Obviously, you need diet and exersize. But, one thing that can help is to start eating wild game. Meat like venison is very low in fat. From a diet standpoint, eating venison steak is like eating broiled fish, or tuna. And, it's very tasty. Do you know any hunters? Even if you don't, you can buy venison that is commercially raised. It's expensive, but needing to lose 70 lbs is actually a health question too. You should lose weight, just because you will improve your heath, being overweight is not healthy, long term.

Cut the amount that you eat, drink lots of water and exercise. Dont weight your self every day,only once a week. it takes time to take off the weight. I lose 55 lbs in 6 months and have maintained my weight by eating right and light. Water is very important. 8 to 10 glasses a day. NO SODA.

Don't eat junk food, eat healthy, cut back on your portions daily, and exercise at least 30 minutes a day even if it is walking. Also, try the south beach diet or any other diets that are out there today. Once you get some weight off, it will get harder to loose all of it. However, don't get discouraged it is very hard to loose that much weight in a little bit of time.

hi there...loosng weight it is so easy...
a)drink 8 glasses of water everyday
b)have a balanced diet..for example(have a menu pattern..you need equal amount of food you will take a day)-it means breakfast,lunch and dinner are equal...ESPECIALLY NO YOYO DIET-it means u dnt eat breakfast then u eat double in lunch then u eat mild in dinner that is one of the reasons why people getting bigger..
c)of course complete 8 hours of sleep...
d)and don't forgt to have 30min. to 1 hour workout(exercise)
e)eat fruits and vegetables it will helps you to lessen your weight
f)smile always
g)no midnight snacks and don't eat in between meals
h)less in carbohydrates especially salty and oily foods..and sweet products like chocolates and candies..
i)less alcoholic beverages..

Change over to a healthy diet, drink lots of water, and become much more active than you are now. If you are a woman, try going to one of those places that offer toning tables. They do help.
