I agree and know several people that feel the same way. You know that kind of love when you know your pet has been sitting by the window for 8-9 hours waiting and the minute you open the door they jump around like they haven't seen you in a week or month. They even do that if you are gone 10 minutes. That is unconditional love. People don't have that for each other no matter what you may say to him/her.
If a person hurts an animal I have to admit I wish them...... nothing good. I love animals not just domestic.

Many People feel the same way. I think it has to do with a defense mechanism, to not get hurt by the cruelty of Man, and to establish Yourself as a Good Person. But, the reality is that a Human being hurt,or mistreated is in fact harder to fathom than some innocent animal, or child. It may be that You have never seen a grown Person in pain, or hurt in some other way.
We see thousands of People hurt or killed by Nature, then the News camera shows a little Dog, and Your heart gos out to the Dog. Well it could be that You might not be able to bare the fact that one of those People could be someone that You know, then You might see Human suffering in a different light.

I'm with you too. People can be horrible. Working with animals all day I have seen some terrible things. But on the bright side, just when I think that all people are scum some wonderful person comes in and amazes me. So don't give up on the human race, just help where you can and keep being a caring person.

I certainly can relate to what you're saying. People are not defenseless (exception babies), they can help themselves and help each other. Animals rely on us for care. We have a pair of eagles that hatched out 3 eaglets this year, soooo beautiful. When old enough to leave the nest they soared in the sky together. Unfortunately one of them was found dead on the riverbank a couple of weeks ago. The cause? I don't know. Hopefully not man! Untimely, absolutely! I will certainly miss seeing the family ALL together, but not as much as the parents and siblings who cried (literally) for three days for their dead baby. We owe it to animals as well as people to look out for one another,

The more helpless the being (babies, small animals) the more vulnerable. One likes to think that adults have the ability to at least fight back or try to protect themselves.
These feelings are normal and not anything to worry about.

i fell the same as you....
its like in the street i would never stop to say how cute a child is but any kind of animal, for sure i stop to touch look, smile...
the reason is that we are animal lovers, animals are so innocent and havent done anything wrong, people on the other hand, even if they are good people arent as innocent and even babies grow up to be less cute that animals'!!

Yes, I feel the same as you, babies and animals are helpless creatures, and people abuse them. I went insane when I heard about that baby whose parents broke her arm and put bleach in her eyes as a punishment for crying... but I also go insane when animals are hurt or killed.

Yes, I agree. I think that because animals seems so caring and loving to ANYONE, no matter what. When people mistreat their animals, the animals still seems to love them. People are not like that. The love animals have is pure, almost innocent.

That is because babies and animals are so helpless. I am the same way, I feel so bad for them when they are in pain!
