Social Justice Argument #3: "10% of the Population Is Gay. Could So Many People Be Wrong?"

Religious Argument #1: "Jesus Said Nothing About Homosexuality."

Religious Argument #2: "I'm a Born-Again Believer and I'm Gay. How Can That Be, If Homosexuality Is Wrong?"

Religious Argument #3: "I Attend a Gay Church Where the Gifts of the Spirit and the Presence of God Are Manifest. How Can That Be, If Homosexuality Is Wrong?"

UM PAUL THAT'S THE POINT.
THAT IS PRO GAY THEOLOGY THAT ARE THEIR ARGUMENTS. AND IF U LOOKED AT THE LINK U WOULD SEE JOE DALLAS COMBATS THEM.

BY SAYING U WOULDN'T BELEIVE THE 10 PERCENT THING U ARE SAYING YOU ARE NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO BUY GAY THEOLOGY. THAT IS SOUND PASTORAL GAY THEOLOGY WHICH IS WRONG.
OH AND THIS IS WHAT JOE WROTE ABOUT HIMSELF FOR YOUR "CHRISTIAN PASTOR THAT SUPPORTS GAY MARRIAGE"

"I REMEMBER CLEARLY, and with inexpressible regret, the day I convinced myself it was acceptable for me to be both gay and Christian. Not only did I embrace the pro-gay theology--I promoted it as well, serving on the staff of the local Metropolitan Community Church and presenting the arguments cited in this series. Twelve years have passed since I realized my error, and during those years the pro-gay theology has enjoyed unprecedented exposure and acceptance, both in mainline denominations and among sincere (albeit sincerely deceived) believers.

Many Christians are unaware that there is such a thing as pro-gay theology, much less a movement built around it. And many who are aware of it have no idea how to answer its claims. Yet an answer is required; the pro-gay theology, like the gay rights movement it represents, grows daily in scope and influence. With the love Christ showed while weeping over Jerusalem, and the anger He displayed when clearing the Temple, the Church must respond.

Joe Dallas, founder of Genesis Counseling, is the author of three books on homosexuality: Desires in Conflict, Unforgiven Sins, and A Strong Delusion: Confronting the "Gay Christian" Movement. A former gay rights activist an and staff member of a Metropolitan Community Church, he has worked with hundreds of men and women struggling with homosexuality and related problems
Mr. Dallas is available for conferences and seminars, and can be reached at Genesis Counseling, 307 E. Chapman Ave., Orange, CA 92666,

Lady, you really need to quit STALKING people. You don't know one thing about love. There's nothing wrong with you that psychotherapy couldn't cure.

Try David Myers. He's a psychologist, but a devout Christian, and his latest book is a Christian defense of gay marriage.

As for the arguments above, I don't think that the "social justice" arguments there are very helpful. First of all, the first two suggest that we don't simply have a fundamental right to our choice of sexual behavior (among consenting adults, of course). I'm not gay (neither is Myers, by the way), but I don't think that the fact that I choose with my girlfriend to do certain sexual behaviors could be used as an argument against my right to do those behaviors. I'm just not willing to give up that kind of ground, and I don't think that gays should either.

The third argument simply seems wrong to me. If 90% of the population supported a "holy war" against Islam using the U.S. military, it'd certainly still be wrong. I suspect that more than 10% of the people in the U.S. DO support that kind of misuse of our military, and I have no problem at all accepting the fact that they're wrong.

Later: Oh, I see. This isn't a question at all, just an advertisement for an anti-gay site. Reported.

Go tell all that to the gay guy you're in love with, and leave total strangers alone. One more thing...What do you care what I do in my bedroom?? I don't care what you do in yours. Are you sure you aren't gay??? I mean, strong convictions like that are clearly covering for something else...

Any gay people care what theologists think?
Certainly not me!!!!
Whether I rot in hell, get fed to Cerberus, drown in a river of fire, or spend eternity with Bible-thumping Christians (all of which are as appealing as each other to me, by the by) doesn't matter.
There is NOTHING on earth that'll make me change.
Got it?
Nothing!!!!

I'm not sure exactly what and who you are trying to convince. However, why don't you try putting all that passion into something useful and get off the computer.

Homosexual persons don't bother me. If it's okay then so be it, if it's wrong then sure in hell they don't answer to me.
