Gee, were you alive during the Reagan administration??? I think people had special feelings for the guy because he was a popular actor, took a bullet and then developed alzheimers. However, anyone trying to make a life duringhis administration should also remember record high mortgage rates (weren't they 17.5%?), the Iran-Contra scandal ("gee, I can't recall"), etc., etc. He did pave the way for the first Bush administration, tho, and the second Bush administration is all too familiar.
What exactly are your qualifications for "best president"? If assassination attempts count, then yeah, I guess he would be the best president.

No way. Until Bush II I thought he would be the worst I'd see in my lifetime. All he did was develope tons of nukes which our future generations will have to deal with, and drive us into a big debt. Wow, sound like someone now?
FDR is my favorite modern era president. When the world fell apart because of the depression, he brought people here together with social programs and kept many from starving. A different approach to the depression can be seen with Germany and its leader then, Adolf Hitler.

No. Reagan didn't have a clue to what he was doing. Remember Iran-Contra? I believe he once said "America will not deal with terroists." And yet, look at what he did. Exactly what he said we wouldn't do.
I love Reaganomics too. Under his plan my stepfather lost two businesses, lost our ranch, and two of our three homes. Even though our businesses were turning a profit, paying off the loan to start them up killed us.
And what his using "Born in the U.S.A" as his theme song? A song that was a protest to Reagans own policies?
If you're a conservative, you need your head examined. It's a mental illness.

Reagan was bad but Bush is far worse. That is fact.
I do think Bush has the same disorder as Reagan did. Reagan was so stupid he took part in a protest against his own policy's. It was called "hands acrost America" a protest about hunger in America under Reagan. Reagan also ran up the largest debt in History, till now, Bush has that record. $9 trillion and still spending.

in our modern history, i would say yes but people like lincoln that really did some great things have to beat him. I also strongly support what bush is doing now too. he is a strong leader that is doing what he knows is right even when he is fighting against millions of uninformed libs

Oh Yes he was the one who I remember talking about the brave Afghan freedom fighters. He spent millions training and equipping Muslim extremists including osama bin laden and company, that later morphed into AL qaeda. That turned out well didn't it.
A real stroke of genius.

Please tell me your kidding with your question. Nancy is spouting that BS. Reagan was nothing out of the ordinary. He spent a huge amount of money on defense. In order to get some of that money, he closed the government homes for the mentally ill and threw the people out in the street. I think its ironic that he died with Alzheimer's.
