I've really upset my best friend in the world. While chatting to her Dad on the net, I told him some news about her work that she wanted to tell him. I just didn't think it was a problem. Now she's upset with me and I can't bare it... she's declared war! She is on Answers as teazer33 - perhaps if enough people message her to tell her i'm sorry and love her she will forgive me? She's the most important person in my life and I really appreciate anyone's advice or time if you message her. Thanks in advance.

PS - to the yahoo answers team: this ISN'T "chatting or private correspondence" like you removed this question for earlier!

You know you meant well but your friend is hurt and upset at the moment and asking other people to tell her your sorry might not be a good idea. The best thing to do would be to back off and give your friend space to calm down then after a day or two send your friend an email explaining you made a mistake and your very sorry but you can`t take back what you said and you`ll understand if this small mistake has cost you your friendship.Ask her if there is anything you can do for her to realise how stupid you feel and you`ll do anything for her forgiveness..........Good luck.

Take it easy. You sound very frivilous and indiscreet. Apologise to your friend and reassure her that this will never happen again. Remember actions speak louder than words.

What is more worrying is that you are speaking to her Dad on the net! Why? What kind of relationship do you have with her Dad? Hasnt your friend wondered abt this?

you have already said it all here, she iss your best friend in the world. send her your own message asking her how you can sort it out, tell her you made a very big mistake, after all we all do!! give her chance we all get mad and need that little bit of time to ourselves to calm down. tell her why her friendship is so important to you and most of all tell her that you dont want to lose it. dont give up, if she cares about your friendship she will forgive you. good luck

When your best friend ask you not to tell her Father, that mean do not say anything, If you can not KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT, you will not have to many friends. there was a reason behind her saying don't tell anybody. Mr gossup, And no i am not going to write to your ex Bestfriend. Stop acting like ***** and be a man.

She may be disappointed at what you did, but I don't think that will last long. After all, it's not as if you've betrayed her or anything. If you have been good friends for a long time I think she will soon forget about what you did. Just try apologising and leave her alone for a while.

I would give her some time to think about it. If you made your point by telling her that you didn't think that it was a secret that you were supposed to keep and that it was an honest mistake surely she will see that soon. Good luck!

If she has something to say to someone then let her say it in the future. All you can do is apologise for speaking out of turn and hope she understands your motivations were not to cause trouble and forgives you.

See this as a lesson in the future not to be so quick off the draw with your mouth. We all have to learn from our experiences/ mistakes, take this as a learning curb.
