There is no doubt that this will be so. Let me explain why. This country is no longer a democracy in that the Government no longer represents the people. It represents it's own interests, which are the interests of big business. To preserve this type of power base, a political doctrine must be established that makes this possible.
Part of that doctrine is to be the elimination of America's middle Class. If there is no middle class in this country, then there are poor people and rich people. Poor people do not have time to worry about what the government is up to, because they are constantly struggling everyday just to make ends meet and put food on the table.
Where is the proof in this? Look at the Republicans policy on immigration. By flooding millions more uneducated, poor Mexicans into the population, the government increases the poor and further erodes the middle class. By not charging comparable import taxes on goods from other countries, American business can not compete, leading to the export of good American jobs.
The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. Your Government has sold out this country for it's own agenda. I hope this helps answer your question.

The rich should always get richer because they can make their wealth grow, whereas the poor live check to check. The poor will remain the same, but I think it is misleading to say that they will become poorer. The wealth pie is not finite and the wealth of one group does not take from that of the other. Hypothetically, the pie is limitless.

The definition of poor in the U.S. has changed significantly. If you have cable TV, cell phones (and blow through your minutes), smoke cigarrettes, etc., you are not poor. Not having enough food or the basics of life would qualify you as poor. The statistics put out today distort the reality of how many truly poor people we have in the U.S.

To a large extent YES. The effects of globalization are the main contributory factor for this. The only way out of this situation is to look at the new job/business opportunities which can give prosperty and success to the people. Most of the previous job/business opportunities have either ceased to exist or have changed drastically. Rise to the occasion and look around the make good use of the new opportunities. That is the only apparent solution.

Perhaps. But the trend has been for the poor to become less poor over time. They may not "keep up" with the rate of income growth among the wealthy and thus seem poorer on a relative basis, but their actual living conditions are likely to keep improving, worldwide.

Yes it is very much right as mostly all rich people r businessmen & as the prices r increasing they too will get more profit. While the poor won't be able to afford what little they used to get.

That's been the way it's been ever since creation.

I think it's God's will or something like that. If I were you, I would try being meek. I think I read that the meek shall inherit the earth.

I wonder if they'll still be meek once that happens.
