Though you can't blame only 1 side, I'd say that Israel overreacted to the captured soldiers, but Hezbollah was more responsible for deaths during the war. The idea of Israel overreacting is basically self-explanatory. It was obvious that the war would reult in more than 2 deaths. As for Hezbollah, it stored and fired missiles in heavily populated areas. As a result, Israeli strikes were forced to be near populated regions. Fortunately, Israel told civilians to evacuate before strikes.

Overall, I'd say that Hezbollah was more immoral in its actions.

Look at the facts and decide for yourself.

Hezbollah came to power in Lebanon, and the Lebanese did nothing about it.

Hezbollah not only forcefully kidnapped soldiers but they began the episode by firing rockets into Israeli civilian areas.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah moved their families to safety and stored their weapons (completely against international law) in Lebanese neighborhoods, thus using Lebanese people as human shields. That's how much Hezbollah thinks of Lebanese people.

Israel always warned Lebanese before attacks so civilians could protect themselves. Hezbollah did no such thing.

Much of the film footage of the conflict was shot by Arab cameraman, not exactly unbiased...

IMHO, countries like Iran and Syria have really bad governments, and create and exploit conflicts like the Israel / Hezbollah one to draw attention away from their lousy dictatorships. By stirring up hatred, no one sees how bad the lives of their people are -what few freedoms they have and how badly women are treated.

The REAL criminals are the ones that instigate war and hate, while children and women and elderly are suffering and dying on both sides... imagine, one of those children killed may have been the one who would've cured cancer...
