I was just there last month & my best friend works there. Expedia.com is offering a 2-day pass for the price of 1 right now. So, you might be able to buy a vacation package through them that includes airfare, hotel and the passes to Universal Studios.

Also, I would recommend flying into or staying near the Burbank airport. It's the closest airport to the Studios that I'm aware of and usually airport hotels are the cheapest.

If you can afford to, I'd recommend getting the "VIP" or "Front-of-the-line" pass. It basically lets you into the front of EVERY line the whole day, so you can squeeze in as much as possible and even do the things you loved over again!!!

Hope you have fun!

Forget the airfare. Take a Greyhound bus. Won`t cost 1/3 of what airfare would cost. http://www.greyhound.com/

Southwest or Alaska airlines have the best rates to LAX at this time.
