ignore those earlier comments. slimming world and weight watchers do cater for pregnant women but I think you need the ok from your midwife. All they do is give you a regime which gives you ALL the calories you need to maintain both you and babies health. I think the benefits of having someone monitor what you are eating are great as nobody monitors others and they could live on a diet of junk food whilst pregnant which is hardly any good for unborn child. At the end of the day your baby will take all your good nutrients and leave you with the rest so if you are not looking after yourself you will suffer first! Good luck

No slimming club should take you while you are pregnant. What you should be aiming to do, is to eat healthy, making sure you eat all the calories you need while pregnant and just aim not to put on any/too much weight while pg. (saying that, i lost weight all through all of my pg's but then i was 8 stone overweight to begin with and had morning sickness) Basically, the baby will take what it needs from you so it will only be you who suffers not the baby but i dont think anyones supposed to help you lose weight, if you know what i mean lol

Firstly congratulations, my friend went to weight watchers while she was pregnant they were very good and gave her loads of advice and information about the correct nutrition, if like my friend you were already overweight before becoming pregnant and are worried about blood pressure related complications you are being very wise to want to keep the weight down, I'm sure you will be a fantastic mum for considering your baby's safety before he/she is even born, good luck and I hope all goes well for you.

I'm so disappointed to see so many people berating you for wanting to watch your weight whilst pregnant! There's nothing wrong with that whatsoever. I'm sure that most slimming clubs will create a diet taking into account your pregnancy.

And good on you for wanting to do this! I'm sure both you and baby will be just fine x

i think most diet clubs could accomodate you - but you would be on more of a healthy heating option rather than focusing on weight loss. However, following these guidelines will make loosing the post baby tummy a little easier.

yeah, depends on how far along in your pregnancy you are? They usually ask you not to do weights. I went to my local sports centre after I spoke to my midwife. Also slimming world do a healthy eating plan for pregnant women.

Are you nuts? Why are you so concerned about losing weight when you are pregnant. If you try to lose weight you will be jeopardizing your baby's health!!
