post office in nyc?

i applied for a city carrier, i have gone on 2 interviews, and now i have to take a road test, does anyone know what the road test is all about? i also have to take an 8hr class, does anyone know the exact time for that (ex. 7-3 or 8-4) this is in nyc any info is great.

In New Jersey things are a bit different, but it sounds like they are talking about the "Vehicle familiarization course" i.e. riding around all day in the long life vehicle (LLV) and then training at the Letter Carrier academy. Probation will be the toughest, craziest 90 days you can imagine. Good luck!
