I have a primer with its sequence for a gene of Arabisopsis whcih I miss the files. I want to know the gene to which this primer belongs. What kind of computer programme or website do you know from which I can retrive the name or the AGI number of the gene if I submit the sequence of the primer.

Try www.ncbi.nlm.nih,gov
This should be your first stop for any questions related to gene sequence, function etc etc.
From the main page of the site go to BLAST and do either a megablast search for matching sequences across the entire database or limit it to just the Arabidopsis genome. You can enter your prmer sequence and the Blast programme will search for matching genes. Good luck!
