Wild capitalism's side effects. When you, supposedly living in a democracy, supoosedly believing that anybody can grow up in life, see that only some, always the same or more or less, have the power and the money and all you have is some modern sort of light slavery, when you see that nobody cares whther you're just a pawn, it becomes somewhat obvious that some people will react. I think the world is about to explode... When, I have no idea. But I know that the neoliberals are historically blind when they think they've put an end to all revolutions.

These incidents weren't uncommon in the past but you have to look at the incidents per cappita. Say there were 50 incidents in 1950 of extremely violent crimes with a population of 2.5 million people which makes it .002% of people committed those crimes. Now say in 2005 there were 150 extremely violent crimes but the population is 6.5 million again the percentage is .002% of the people. So basically the same percentage of the public are doing the crimes but because our population grows there are more violent crimes. You also have to look at how many more advocacy groups there are claiming that everyone is harrassing, discriminated against, and profiling everyone else. Plus there is a lot more media coverage and things are exploited more.

Thanks to media and global fusion, people are being exposed to a cocktail of emotion and confusion. Gone are the days of simple life and high thinking. Now days there are no role models in the society with high stature to emulate. What we see around is nothing but glorifying of the mediocre and eulogizing the dishonest, obscene characters, either in political and cultural arena. The span of attention of the youth is being shortened and in whatever they experience in whatever happening to them is very intense and so they wanted all and be all the things in all places. The tendency is for momentary gratification. What is needed in the present day world is level headedness that only parents and teachers can instill in the minds.

Because of what happened "yesterday". We truly do learn from the past and adjust for the future through cultural change, laws, regulations. What was true 100 years ago is different today because we are smarter than we were back then. More experienced.

Well... society is the way it has always been... society in its very infancy is learning what not to do. Oh and, be careful when you point a finger out at others, four fingers are pointing back at you.
