No! I think it is something that is born into us! I work with children, and over the years i have seen children who will almost certainly turn out to be gay later in life. Mainly boys, i add. I know that all boys will experiment with girls clothes, shoes and make-up as they grow, but i think u can definately tell from a young age if they will or will not be gay. We, in our profesional capacity, learn to know a child inside out, and understand the 'average' child's development, and i can say that in my years working with kids, i have seen 3 boys who will almost certainly be gay. I have followed one of them from nursery to school, he's nearly at secondary school and still displays many gay tendencies. I hope this helps!

No absolutely not. There's a point in life when everyone, also the ones that would never admit that, people tend to think about what and how it would be like, just a thought, some really think about it, others just have that question pop up and know immediately that it's not for them. Then you have the explorers, the ones who actually try it, either out of curiousity or to shock, well many reasons, and that might be called "choosing" to be, but they're not! And why would anyone choose to be gay? It's mostly a lot of negative responses, and non acceptance... Who in their right mind would do that? So either you are or you're not, but the most important is that someone has love in his/her life, and I really don't care what's going on in his/her sex life. Just happy to see someone found his/her true love

The answer is Yes!!!! we all have choices although i have been approach by a many gay people.I have no interest in another woman as a mate.I have friends and family who claim a gay life. I believe it is all in what u believe. We do all have choices some of us make bad choices.I believe Woman were made for Man & vice versa now u can act on another belief. But that just proves if u don't stand for something u will fall for anything. If u don't believe in God or a higher power u are a lost soul anyway. God bless all U Gay people maybe U will see the light before u die.It would be a shame for u to live your whole life to lose your soul.

It has been scientifically proven that there is a 'gay gene'- meaning people are homosexual from birth & it is not through choice. It is no different to being born, say, black or tall... these attributes come from nature & are in your genes. However i think some people play on the fact they are gay- for example becoming very camp, which is how some people would believe they are gay through choice.

I am a lesbian & i feel it is not by choice, but that i was born this way. I also feel very lucky because i love being a lesbian!

There are moments when you choose to be in a certain way or another but I really think that to be a gay is not one's deliberately taken choice. Some people are born like that, it's in their nature and nothing can prevent this. The only choice is to accept it, as a matter of fact, and to lear how to cope with this situation. And being a gay or not, does it really count when people want to share what they have - no matter if feelings, goods or souls, bodies, minds?

However skilled his debating skills are, he is incorrect in this conclusion.

I used to hold the opinion that a high percentage of people who later became gay had been sexually abused during childhood.

As I have now gained many years in life, and am open minded enough to continually reassess observational data that I accumulate, I now hold the opinion that many people are born gay. You can spot them in preschool. They are different early on. They can no more easily "choose" their preference than you can chose what your blood type is or what foods you are allergic to.

There have always been and will always be homosexuals in this species and in many other species. They add to the rich tapestry of life. People who have a problem with them need to get over themselves.

Yes some have the "mutant gene" and they suppose to have so many other characteristic symptoms, it's a long list of abnormalities studied and published in medical papers. . But just to share bed with same sex partner, that is a pure b* sh*

The "mutant gene" notion is absurd and an excuse, as are the "choose that way" or "born that way" arguments. It's one of the hardest things for people to do - admit they're wrong and not make excuses.

I think they choose, the mutant gene is just a theory used to cover up their intentions to do something they know a lot of people find objectionable, especially their own families.

I think they choose to be practicing gays but don't choose to be intentionally gay in the first place....but everyone is different, it's not as if all gays are of one personna.....some have always felt same sex attraction, and others may have discovered it to be a preferable alternative later on, but I am only speculating here as I'm not gay myself
