No. The monkees added a little fun, excitement and more creativity to the game.

No. The Monkees were actors who portrayed a band on T.V. Some people believe that they copyed a lot of the actions of the Beatles from their movies, "Help" and "Hard Days Night". Most of the Monkees never played an instrument before being cast for the show. All Of their early work was written and played by other bands for the show. Neil Diamond, Harry Nielson, and Carole King were some of the known artists of the time that did background work for the Monkees. There was never any threat of them becomming more powerful than the Beatles.

I don't think so. The producers of the Monkees were just trying to cash in on something like the Beatles. Four guys that teens loved, and spent money on anything with their pictures on it.
