For me stuff like White Riot by The Clash, Sabotage by the Beastie Boys and Territorial Pissings by Nirvana make me feel like smashing the crap out of my own house or punching a stranger in the face. D'you know what I mean?

I used to get a rush in the early days of punk with most of the early Clash and Pistols songs. Also New Rose by the Damned and the first Buzzcocks album. One quite violent song was Beat on the Brat by the Ramones. I never did actually hit anyone with a baseball bat though, you'll all be relieved to hear (just thought about it!) I never smashed much stuff up - maybe I've been too well brought up. We had the chance to all pogo in those days, whcih was an excellent way of letting off steam

no, dont know what you mean. Must be a bloke thing. My favourite songs even the feisty ones never made me want to smash my own stuff or worse go out and assault a total stranger. If this is how you feel then the arguments for violence in films and music being responsible for an ever increasing violent society is correct.

Me and some of me mates once had a skirmish in a pub when Rock The Casbah (The Clash) was playing on the Jukie. Whenever I hear it I feel the ashtray hitting my head.

I'm with you on that one brother. Whenever I hear Especially for you by Kylie and Jason, I'm sent into a damage bent trance.
I smash things up and hit people over the head with blunt instruments. God bless Rock and Roll!!!
